Theme for May 2020: LISTEN TO YOUR HEART
FEATURE #3: “Turning Into the Vibration of the Heart”
by Jeffron Seely/ pg 83
Mr. Seely offers us the means to remove our own heart blocks in this 3rd feature.
He begins by calling our attention to the heart as a physical organ and our awareness of its sacred beating action. He suggests that we unite the physical heart with the Divine Flow of the heart center in our understanding and awareness (consciousness). In the 4th paragraph he assures us of this inseparable unity: “To better connect with this space, place one hand on your heart and feel the rhythmic beats of this sacred space. Acknowledge the Life within you. Let your consciousness expand and know that this beat, this Life, has been with you before you had the opportunity to take your first breath. Know at an even deeper level that there is an essence, a Power enabling this heart to beat.” Pg 83
(Q1) What a unique way to refer to the physical heart. Have you ever thought the action of our heart as sacred? Have you ever heard of its reference this way from others? After reading this article, has your view changed?
Ernest Holmes teaches this Divine view. In the SOM textbook, he writes ’The heart is the center of Divine Love and perfect circulation. Its action is harmonious, vital, adequate and complete. There is no false action and no wrong action. The pulsations of life are steady, unceasing and perfect. “let not your heart be troubled.’ Love is at the center of man’s being, and the calm, continuous, pulsations of life are governed by Love.” Textbook
Seely draws our attention to the vibratory continually emitted by the heart: “The vibration of our heart is always at the highest frequency, that is until we use our thoughts, feelings and emotions to put a seeming cap on the Infinite.” Pg 83
(Q2) Has it ever occurred or do you know that your own truth is the Divine magnificence of God? If you have been studying SOM teachings, do you really know who you are and do you understand your own Divinity? Do any of you know that the only limits you imagine are yours and yours alone? This is a part of early programming and race consciousness……do you understand this, too?
Holmes also talks about vibration in some of his writings. In the SOM textbook, he speaks of vibration from science of that day. “The laws of Mind, or Spirit, are not different from the laws of chemistry and physics. Metaphysics begins where physics leaves off. Everything is movement; everything we can take hold of and analyze, all things in the physical world of form are in a certain rate of vibration and are an effect. This is the result of an Infinite Thinker thinking mathematically.” Textbook
Because our mental atmosphere is our thought vibration, we can alter our vibratory frequency by means of higher frequency thought. According to our teachings, this is a principle and it is law!
Seely warns us that our automated habitual thought that is the problem…our lack of awareness: “We are unaware that we are unaware.” Pg 84/top
(Q3) How many of you are familiar with this idea that all form is a particular vibratory frequency? Are you aware of your own mental atmosphere? Does creating your own experience make you more aware how important this is?
Seely expresses how he lacks awareness on page 84: “In my own life, being unaware has shown up by talking out of large aspirations, letting the opinions of another person dictate my reality, and pulling painful moments from the past with me, allowing them to taint the preciousness of the present.” Pg 84/top
(Q4) Does any of these identified problems he recognizes resonate for you as a problem, too? Are there any areas that may generate destructive self-talk? Do you think you know how to overcome any troublesome self-talk in order to be a higher vibration? If so, what methods or spiritual practices can you use at the necessary moments?
Practice Self Love and Gratitude
Seely claims that, “Without tapping into a reservoir of self-love, we can find it difficult to tune into the heart and align with our purpose.” Pg 84
(Q Are you aware of your own reservoir of self-love? Do you even know how to access it? Do you see how foundationally important self-love really is?
Known for millennia as the starting place, Buddhist masters recommend we start every meditation with a practice of self-love. Seely explains, “Individuals filled with self-love are aware of their connection to the essence of life itself. We cannot say we are filled with the Divine and not overflow with a deep sense of love for the life the Divine pours into us each moment of the day.” Pg 84
Holmes helps us to see the vibratory nature of self-love and of love itself, in these words form the SOM textbook: “As all is Mind, and as we attract to us what we first become, until we learn to love we are not sending out love vibrations and not until we send out those vibrations can we receive love in return.” (Textbook)
Gratitude is an intrinsic practice in our teachings. They are so close in vibration as to be inseparable. Seely says, “Aligning with self-love and gratitude we connect to a higher frequency.” Pg 84/bottom
(Q6) In all of Holmes writings, we can see the importance of becoming love. Have you felt yourself “ become love?” What does he mean by that? Do you experience love and gratitude as inseparable from one another, within you?
Embrace Compassion, Expansion and Forgiveness pg 85
CSL have licensed Practitioners on staff. Holmes defines a practitioner as anyone who studies and begins to practice the principles of the SOM teachings. Holmes and Seely are similar when they say: “A practitioner must be filled with the spirit of Divine compassion…The only guarantee of our Divinity is in its expression through our humanity.” Textbook
He also says, “Acts of compassion could be lending a helping hand, providing someone with encouraging words, practicing tolerance when a person does something you don’t approve of or finding a way to give back to the Earth.” Pg 85
It is important to consider Seely’s quote from TNN: “In the eyes of great compassion, there is no separation between subject and object, no separate self.” Pg 85
Do these words have any meaning for you?
In SOM, we understand that we create the world we experience. Perhaps this idea from Seely is familiar” …What I do unto another person is a reflection of what is currently taking place within me.” Pg 85
(Q8) Now, do you think that understanding your own behavior to another reflects your consciousness? Can you have compassion for both parties? Do you see how gratitude, compassion, and self-love raise your frequency (consciousness)? Can you forgive yourself and can you forgive others?
Seely describes what it means to live from a high frequency: “We embrace the realization that we a re guided and supported by Life, God, the Infinite. This spring of the Divine leads us to the meadows of compassion, and that compassion opens the door to endless expansion.” Pg 85
Expand Your Energy pg 85
Seely says we should daily use all the below elements and tune ourselves to our physical heartbeat. “In doing so, tune into not only the physical heart that is beating but the essence of life that enables the heart within you to beat.” Pg 85
A Daily checklist: (pg 85)
· Know the Divine essence of life and love that is enabling the heart within you to beat.
· Allow this knowing to fuel with self-love, self-acceptance and self-appreciation.
· Know that Infinite Intelligence is always supporting, guiding, and empowering you.
· Allow this knowing to raise your gratitude.
· Allow compassion to guide you.
· Realize that compassion yields expansion.
· Know that compassion expands your life and the lives of others.
· Forgive all.
(Q9) What do you think about this plan for tuning to the vibrations of the heart? Can you identify with each bullet and see how they build on one upon another? Can you see any stops? Could this be a part of your spiritual practices?
So, expansion would be the increasing vibratory frequency paired with Divine alignment and Creativity itself. This process is how we can raise ourselves beyond all limitation. ALL limitations!!!!
Holmes words, “When our thought is turned from limitation to the greater glory, we reflect that glory.” Textbook
This concludes our study and review of Feature 3. We will read Feature #4 for next week on page 92, “The Heart’s Reasons.” I don’t know about any of you but this really hit home for me and what perfect timing it was as always.
See you Wednesday at 6:00p.m. As always, Love, Light and Laughter;
