4. Fluid, Expansive, Nurturing on page…82 by KiMani Divine

Feature #1: “The Nature of Being”

By Ernest Holmes (pg 74)

Holmes gives us the metaphysical meaning of feminine…the womb of nature or the Holy Mother because it is receptive to the Spirit and is impregnated with the Divine Ideas. In other words, it gives birth to our/Spirit/God ideas and becomes the Feminine Principle of Nature.

(Q) We can look in the SOM text and see the metaphysical charts on 568-574. Here you will see the placement of the Feminine Principle within the Soul aspect of the chart. Do you understand this concepts Holmes gives us?

Spirit pg 75

Here Holmes defines God/feminine principle.

(Q) After reading what Holmes defines God as, what are your thoughts about this understanding now?

Let’s talk about the “I am” or the Moses code.

(Q) What do you realize now about your words, thoughts, and feelings when it comes to creating your experience?

(Q) Can you see why being totally conscious and alert about all your words, thoughts, and feelings? Exp: I am tired. Are you ready to be impeccable with your word about yourself by and affirm your reality by using “I am” statements?

(Q) Now are you able to see your unity with the One? Do you understand the masculine and feminine principles within you-as within God?

Two Ways of Reasoning pg 75

The 2 ways we reason are:

1. Inductive-an inquiry(analysis) into the truth exp: John is good, Mary is good, my neighbors are good, so God must be good. A+B=C

2. Deductive-that process of reasoning which follows an already established premise, whole to a part. Exp…God is Good so Mary, John, and my neighbors are good...because if God is Good, so are they.

T/F Soul /Subjectivity can and will never reject but will always by its nature accept thought. It is impersonal and plastic and uses no judgment…it only says YES. It has no mind of its own. It is also called the Universal Feminine or Holy Womb of Nature because it is receptive and creative. It is the medium of Law and of all race suggestion. T

Repression and Sublimation pg 76

The Spirit of Sex

T/F The Universe is threefold in nature…Spirit, Soul, and Body. T

Describe this: Spirit is masculine, Soul is receptive, and Body is the result of the union of Spirit and Soul.

Life is androgynous meaning it contains both male and female factors.

Male and Female

(Q) Do you realize that we are made to function the way God functions?

Holmes explains that this Trinity of Spirit, Soul, and Body is actually a Unity because all is the Oneness of God.

(Q) Can you now understand and honor the Divine Feminine in all of us?

(Pg 76 at the bottom)

T/F The solution to the problem of desire is to transmute any destructive tendency into some form of action that is constructive. T

Exp…take addictions…what other constructive activities replaces the addiction?

(Q) Have you ever compulsively or desperately been driven? (desire)

The real question would be… what makes us feel complete?

IMPORTANT

Only the flow of Divine Love through us…outward. Love is the Givingness of the self to the object of its adoration. Here Holmes says it is important that we have something we love to do (refer to the painting)! It must be something or things that we really love to do such as a creative expression. To have a creative expression powered by Love is very important. He says “We should learn to love all people and not just some people.” Discuss.

There is a difference between love and a drive for an individual love. Holmes says “This is not love but is an idea of possession, which often becomes an obsession.” “No soul is really complete until it feels complete within itself.” DISCUSS

When all our needs are met, we experience a fulfilled happiness that seeks for nothing. Holmes answer to this is “…Love all, adore some, and find happiness everywhere.”

Live Your Truth pg 78

IMPORTANT

Holmes teaches us to: “Refuse to have your feelings hurt. Refuse yourself the pleasure and morbidity of sensitiveness. Come out of the emotional intoxication and be YOURSELF. Never allow the thought to become depressed or morbid. Engage in some form of activity that will express the better self. Do not attempt to draw life from others. Instead, live the life that God gave you. It is ample and complete.”

(Q) Do you now see that your emotional experience is a choice? How can you express yourself in another way if you feel sad, mad, or morbid? (danger zones). Discuss What is your true self like?

Most of the time I sign all my letters and emails with the command for us to “live, love, and laugh!” by Holmes. We can also be mindful to let our heart be glad and free and be happy.

(Q) Can you your thoughts be unified with the Whole?
